Janine Arnold, a German jeweller based in Hamburg, graduated from the
Goldsmithing department
at the Royal Collage of Art, London, in summer 2006.
Her work celebrates the interplay of
wearable jewellery into autonomous objects
wherein the interest in matter and attention to detail is apparent.
Her jewellery has been displayed in different countries and galleries including
Kunsthalle Rostock,
V&A Museum London, MCC Gallery South Korea,
Galerie Silke Fleischer Antwerp.

“The pieces of jewellery I create are outcomes of how my brain is absorbing daily,
social impressions, dyed with the immediate associations these impressions evoke.
It is the allure about the associations, where I, as the maker, am driven by a curiosity to

bring these “mind collages” into being. As a visual communicator my work expresses
the need to invent new stories in order to challenge the perception of today’s jewellery.”
